As the title says, I will be in a relatively smallish room at Uni and they will be set on my desktop so Nearfield. I listen to lots of Hip Hop and Bassy Music (DnB Jungle) so not sure what one is better for me. Heard the ELAC's are more neutral but have better bass resonance whereas the Emotiva are supposedly ...Emotiva B1+, Elac b5.2 or Polk xt20 in a 2.1. I have had Polk XT20’s for about 2 weeks now with a Dayton Sub 1200. I listen to music 80% of the time and movies the other 20%. I’m sometimes finding the Polks muddy and am wondering if I should return them and opt for something more “detailed” such as the Elac debut b5.2 or Emotiva B1+. .
